Stefana Berceanu is the Conductor of the Sinfonietta Preparatory Orchestra. This ensemble was created to give developing musicians an
opportunity to learn and play in a structured group setting. Auditions are not required and all skill levels are welcome.
Outside guest teachers, such as Thara Memory, Ronnye Harrison, and Eddie Parente are
occasionally brought in to work with the orchestra. The Prep orchestra consists of about 25 students: violinists, violists,
cellists, a bassist, flutists and an accordian player.
There is a sliding scale fee to
be part of the ensemble, but no one will be turned away on the basis of an inability to pay.
